About the Game Centre

At Untapped, we know learning sticks when people experience it. Our suite of interactive card games brings inclusion, innovation, and wellness to life - not through lectures, but through play. Each game creates a safe space where curiosity replaces judgement, and teams can practice new ways of thinking, connecting, and collaborating. Research from McKinsey supports game based activities as core drivers of team effectiveness: trust, communication, psychological safety, and clarity of working norms.

The Game Centre is Untappedme's centralised access to interactive learning experiences. Built on the foundations of the "Leadership Reality", each game is underpinned by play-based theory and the evidence-based impact of play.

Play in a team environment: When embedded into team culture, it fosters psychological safety, encourages experimentation, and unlocks latent leadership potential. (Mukerjee et al. 2021; Lillard 2014) Hence, play can be a strategic modality for activating human-centered leadership and adaptive collaboration, as it invites teams to co-create meaning, navigate ambiguity, and build trust through shared experience. (Elsawah, 2025)

Individuals

The Game Centre is perfect for exploring and practicing new ways of thinking, connecting, and collaborating. Lobby sizes expand all the way up to 24 players, perfect for connecting in larger groups. In addition, students can access the Game Centre products completely free via the student versions. To learn read Student Access below.

Individuals interested in using the game are encouraged to speak with their employer/manager, or relevant organisational representative to explore access opportunities.

Organisations

Evidence-based impact of play: Development of meta skills - Play allows for the participants to assimilate new experiences into existing mental schemas creating plasticity and adaptation to new environments through abstracted (thought) simulations of these environments. (Piaget, 1945l; Wadsworth, 2004; Robertson, 2023). Interdisciplinary research shows multifaceted benefits of play:

Neuroscience: Strongly suggest that play activates the brain’s reward systems, enhancing motivation and learning retention.
Organisational Psychology: Links playful environments with increased employee engagement, reduced burnout, and stronger interpersonal bonds.
Design Thinking: Design thinking methodologies often begin with playful ideation to unlock divergent thinking and inclusive problem-solving.

About Team Enablement

Originating from bold ideas and shaped through collaboration with global partners, the ‘Team Enablement’ project has grown well beyond its initial seed. As organisations spoke with us about the need for stronger connection, capability, and trust in teams, we listened - and we built.

SFIA Course Background (2).jpg

The team enablement package takes participants on a journey of learning and growth, moving through stages of awareness, action and reflection. We use three interactive card games to make things engaging:

Quest Detective: Approach creative challenges together, use storytelling and scenarios to boost innovation and teamwork. Quest Detective stimulates innovation and visionary problem-solving using future-focused prompts.
Trait Detective: Get to know yourself and your teammates better - discover what makes you tick and build stronger team bonds. Trait Detective deepens an understanding of personal traits, motivations, and behavioral patterns.
Reflective Detective: Build self-awareness through positive habits, reflect on experiences - be your best self. Reflective Detective develops a strengths based approach towards fostering self awareness and capacity building.

Our package can be played both in person and online, with each offering an immersive experience. Whether you’re gathering in the same room or connecting remotely, the activities are designed to keep everyone engaged and participating.

At its core, Untapped’s Team Enablement Series is built around a desire to bring out the beauty of organic groups, raw skills, and connected conversations. Complementary in fast paced changing landscape, it creates a moment for teams to settle, strengthen, and grow together.

Imagine a team journey where every member discovers their strengths, adventures into innovation, and grows through self-reflection. Untapped’s Team Enablement Card Games are more than activities - they’re experiences, each with a unique purpose and research-backed impact.

Trait Detective

At Untapped, we know learning sticks when people experience it. Trait Detective takes an inclusive, strengths-based teamwork approach through playful, evidence-driven experiences. Participants practice adaptive thinking, emotional intelligence, and collaborative problem-solving. The game is grounded in experiential learning, where meaning is co-created through lived experience and reflective group process. Underpinning the game is CPD accreditation.

Trait Detective is an interactive card game designed by Untapped to embed inclusion, deepen team connection, and create psychologically safe environments through curiosity, not judgement.

Improved trust and clarity within teams, reducing misunderstandings
Communication becomes more respectful/intentional, reducing hidden friction
Enhanced role alignment, leading to better performance and wellbeing

The challenge it solves: Teams often misinterpret differences in work styles, leading to conflict, disengagement, or underperformance. McKinsey finds that many teams underperform because healthy interpersonal dynamics (trust + communication + psychological safety) are weak, not because of lack of skill.

Available in-person or online: Trait Detective is tailored for team-building settings; both in-person and online. The learning tool invites participants into a space where learning feels light and insightful. As teams engage in this activity, they experience a sense of curiosity, connection, and light-hearted challenge; discovering each other’s (hidden) traits not through formal assessments, but through shared tasks and intuitive observation.

It is a refreshing break from routine that still builds real skills: emotional intelligence, team cohesion, and inclusive awareness. The result is a productive, energizing experience that feels both meaningful and light.

Quest Detective

Participants co-create a story to solve a unique problem using creativity, innovation, and teamwork. Each turn introduces new constraints, mindsets, or surprises that shape the evolving narrative. The goal is to explore multiple approaches to challenges using creative storytelling and scenario-based quests to stimulate imaginative thinking through role-play, metaphor, and narrative construction. This game helps participants to collectively problem-solve and foster new ways of thinking.

Quest Detective™ is an interactive card game designed by Untapped to exercise innovative and divergent thinking through the spirit of play by enabling a space for collaboration, information exchange, and problem-solving.

Boosts creative confidence and openness to new ideas
Reduces risk of groupthink by normalising multiple perspectives
Strengthens trust - team members feel more comfortable sharing unusual ideas

The challenge it solves: Innovation suffers when teams lack psychological safety, or when groupthink stifles divergent thinking. McKinsey highlights that innovation and adaptability are enabled when trust and communication are strong

Available in-person or online: The Quest Detective card game is tailored for team-building settings - both in-person and online- this is designed as an exercise to team-based innovation allowing for collaborative synergy in working on finding solutions through convergent and divergent thinking.

Reflective Detective

Players build resilience and self-awareness of their proclivities and styles of wellness by completing real-time self-care tasks across seven (7) evidence-based domains.

RD Showcase White.png

This playful, evidence-based game invites players on a journey through domains of self-care, blending real-time action with reflection, laughter, and connection. Every move brings insight and a step closer to energised living.

Helps embed wellness habits in team culture, reducing burnout
Creates a space for mutual support and emotional safety
Increases energy, engagement, and retention

Why it matters: Teams with poor trust and communication often also have low psychological safety, which contributes to stress, burnout, and disengagement. Building wellbeing practices as a collective habit matters. Research ties psychological safety and health of teams with better performance.
